The grand opening of the new Worldshine Adult Medical Day Care Center in Gaithersburg was celebrated with a magnificent ceremony, marking a significant milestone in the center's journey of growth and excellence. The event attracted esteemed guests from political, business, and community circles, all gathered to witness this exciting moment.


Adding to the significance of the day, Gaithersburg Mayor Jud Ashman officially proclaimed September 20 as "Worldshine Day," recognizing the center’s contributions to the community and its dedication to improving senior care services. Police officers from the Montgomery County Police Department also joined the celebration, underscoring the strong ties between Worldshine and the local community.


The celebration began at 9:30 a.m. with guests arriving to warm welcomes and guided tours of the new facility. At 9:55 a.m., attendees took their seats, and the event officially commenced at 10:00 a.m. A lively lion dance performance opened the ceremony, symbolizing prosperity and a bright future for the new center.


Ms. Wang Yu, Program Director of the Worldshine Gaithersburg Center, delivered the opening speech, warmly welcoming the distinguished guests, friends, and colleagues. “Today, we gather to celebrate a new chapter for the Worldshine,” she said, extending heartfelt gratitude to the project development team responsible for the site selection, development, and construction of the new facility.


Remarks and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

The highlight of the ceremony included remarks by several key guests. Mr. Li Qili, President of Worldshine Group, reflected on the center’s journey. “Ten years ago, I stood before you, sharing my vision to create a century-long legacy. Today, we’ve achieved one-tenth of that goal,”


Mr. Li emphasized the center’s expanding diversity, serving seniors from over 10 linguistic and cultural backgrounds, including communities from Asia, Africa, South America, the Middle East, and Europe. He explained that the new facility incorporates innovative designs to deliver high-quality care while fostering a homely and comfortable environment.


Looking ahead, Mr. Li expressed confidence in the center's future, envisioning the next decade as a golden period for growth and development. He shared plans for expanding services to include 24-hour comprehensive care tailored to meet the diverse needs of seniors. Mr. Li concluded by thanking the center’s long-time clients for their unwavering support and pledging to continue building a superior platform for senior care.


Distinguished guests, including Maryland Secretary of State Susan Lee, Consul General Zhu Di of the Chinese Embassy in the U.S., Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich, and U.S. Congressman Jamie Raskin’s representative, also delivered speeches, expressing their support and admiration for Worldshine's dedication to senior care.


Cultural Performances and a Promising Future

Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, attendees enjoyed a vibrant array of cultural performances, including soprano solos, traditional Mongolian dances, and instrumental ensembles, creating a lively and celebratory atmosphere.


As the event drew to a close, Ms. Wang Yu extended her gratitude to all attendees for their support. She emphasized that the opening of the new center represents a fresh beginning, reaffirming Worldshine's commitment to delivering high-quality care for seniors and striving toward an even brighter future.
